Clash Royale – Archers or Musketeer?

We will be comparing Archers and Musketeer in this post to see which is better. Feel free to leave a comment below to let us know about which Card is better and why!

Elixir Cost

  • The Archers cost 3 Elixir and summons 2 Archers.
  • The Musketeer cost 4 Elixir and summon only 1 Musketeer.
  •  

    So, the Archers edges out the Musketeer in terms of Elixir Cost.

    Attack speed

  • The Archers’ attack speed is 1.2 sec.
  • The Musketeer’s attack speed is 1.1 sec.
  •  

    Hence, the Musketeer’s attack 0.1 sec faster than the Archers.

    Range

  • The Archers’ range is 5.5.
  • The Musketeer’s range is 6.5
  •  

    Therefore, the Musketeer can attack further away from the battlefield. Which allows her to actually get more hits on opponent’s troops as they have to spend more time to get to her and it also allows her to have a higher chance of not being attacked by spells like the Fireball if there is a huge fight going on.

    The Musketeer has more hitpoints and damage as compared to the Archers’. Which allows the Musketeer to tank more damage while also allowing her to deal more damage if both of them are in the same situation. For example, the Musketeer is able to take down a Baby Dragon all by herself if deployed properly while the Archers’ will get wiped out by the Baby Dragon even if deployed properly. Another example would be the Witch. The Musketeer is able to defend against the Witch by herself while the Archers will just get wiped out.

    The Musketeer can also deal more damage to the Towers as compared to the Archers!

    Meanwhile, their deploy time, movement speed are the same and they attack both air and land units.

    Conclusion

    In conclusion, if I have to only include one of them in my deck, I would go for the Musketeer instead of the Archers because they offer so much more even though they only cost 1 more Elixir.

  • The Musketeer have much more use as they are able to take down more troops by herself as compared to the Archers.
  • For 1 more Elixir, I get to have a huge upgrade in terms of her Hitpoints and Damage. Even when both cards are at their maxed level, the Musketeer still offers much more as compared to the Archers!

  • Archers can be upgraded to level 12 while Musketeer can only be upgraded to level 10.
