Clash Royale – Prince

  • This card can be found from Tutorial.
  • This card costs 5 Elixir.
  • Considered one of the most overpowered card in Clash Royale.
  • The Prince has a special ability. It basically grants him 2x damage when he increases his speed while running. Once it hits something, he will immediately lose the bonus. However, he can regain it once he starts moving for a short distance again.


  • It is mostly used offensively due to his special ability and high damage to towers.
  • The Prince, can be used with the Barbarians and Wizard. This allows you to clear troops fast enough while also having enough tank, to prevent your army from getting wiped out.
  • It can be used for “counterattacking” due to his special ability and damage. It is able to attack on its own due to his decent hitpoints as well.
  • Most players uses the Prince with Dark Prince as the Dark Prince will destroy opposing troops while the Prince dashes to the tower.
  • Very powerful in the early stages of the game. (From Arena 1-3) Players do not have the necessary cards to defend against the Prince.


  • With his special ability, he is more than capable of destroying a tower if left unhindered.
  • Able to deal lots of damage.
  • Decent tank card.
  • Versatile. Can be used both defensively/offensively.
  • One of the most overpowered card this game has especially during low level battle.


  • Easily destroyed by air units such as the Minion Horde as the Prince is not able to attack air units.
  • A swarm of troops like the Skeleton Army can easily destroy the Prince as it can only hit one unit at a time.
  • Charge damage can be easily baited by troops such as the Goblins.
  • A Tombstone can easily counter the Prince as it will produce 4 Skeletons when it is destroyed.
  • The special ability can be defended easily by sacrificing a low elixir cost card such as the Skeletons.
  • The Freeze/Zap is able to stop the charge of the Prince.

  • On 11/1/16, the Prince’s health was nerfed by 4%.
  • The Prince’s charge speed was nerfed by 13%. This update is as of 23/3/16.
  • It is considered by most players as the best troop for low levels. It is even considered as the most overpowered card.
  • The horse of the Prince is the same as the Dark Prince.
  • It is not related to any other Supercell game unlike other cards which are from Clash of Clans.
