Clash Royale – Lava Hound
“The Lava Hound is a majestic flying beast that attacks buildings. The Lava Pups are less majestic angry babies that attack anything.”
This card can be found from Arena 4, P.E.K.K.A’s Playhouse. It is the first legendary card a player can obtain.
This card cost 7 Elixir, making it the most expensive Legendary card.
The Lava Hound only target buildings. However, once it is destroyed, the Lava Hound will split into 6 Lava Pups, which targets anything. The Lava Pups, deal more damage but has lesser hitpoints.
Used with supporting troops to deal damage to surround troops.
The Lava Hound can be used as a tank for other air troops such as the Minion Horde.
The Lava Hound, must be supported by other damage troops as it deals very little damage on its own. A good supporting damage card can be the Musketeer.
The Lava Hound is mainly used as a meatshield for other squishy troops.
The Lava Hound splits into 6 Lava Pups when destroyed, hence providing some extra damage and tank, especially against single-target hitting troops.
The Lava Hound is extremely tanky.
It is very difficult to counter against as most air troops do not deal that much damage as compared to land troops. Minion Horde, which deals lots of damage, can easily be destroyed. Hence, making the Lava Hound one of the harder cards to defend against.
Can be easily taken down by the Minion Horde if left alone. As it only target buildings.
The Inferno Tower can melt the Lava Hound.
Even though it splits into 6 Lava Pups when destroyed, the Lava Pups are too squishy to survive on their own.
Must be paired up with other damage card if not it is very weak, but at a cost of 7 elixir it is very hard to pair the Lava Hound with something else.
Extremely low attack damage.

The Lava Hound works the same as how it is in Clash of Clans. One difference is that when the Lava Hound in Clash Royale gets upgraded, the Pups increase in stats, whereas in Clash of Clans, they increase in numbers.
