Clash Royale – Zap
“Zaps enemies, briefly stunning them and dealing damage inside a small radius. Reduced damage to Crown Towers.”
This card can be found from Arena 5, Spell Valley.
This card cost 2 Elixir.
It damages troops in the AoE, and stuns them for 1 second as well.
Mini version of the Lightning.
Use to clear wave of troops that are squishy because the damage is not as high as Lightning.
Highly recommend to be used when you have supporting troops to deal damage as the damage by Zap itself is low and you can maximize the 1 second stun.
The Zap can be used to damage squishy troops such as Minions, which allows your Tower to finish the job without getting any damage.
The Zap can be used to reset the target of the X-Bow.
The Zap can be used to reset the charge of the Dark Prince and the Prince.
1 second stun. It allows your troops to gain a significant advantage during battle.
Generally preferred over the Lightning as it is cheap and it can be complemented with other troops.
Able to reset the target of the X-Bow.
Able to reset the charge of the Dark Prince and the Prince.
The damage is very low, hence it is not able to clear any troops by itself, as compared to other damage spells such as the Fireball.
AoE is quite small, hence it might be quite difficult to aim and it might not be able to hit every troop.
The Zap, requires supporting troops unlike spells like the Fireball or even Arrows.
||Crown Tower Damage
On 9/2/16, the damage is buffed by 6%.
On 19/2/16 the damage to Crown Tower is nerfed by 20%.
On 29/2/16, the 1 second stun was added but its damage is nerfed by 6%.
The update changed the description from “Lightning zaps enemies, dealing damage inside a small radius. Reduced damage to Crown Towers.” to the current one.
Do not be mistaken with Lightning and Zap, they look similar but they are different. With Zap being the cheaper, but weaker one.
Zap works like the Poison spell in Clash of Clans, however it stuns and deals the damage straightaway, while Poison slows the movement speed of troops while dealing dps.
It has a similar Area Damage of the spell, Arrows.
