Clash Royale – Fireball
“Annnnnd… Fireball. Incinerates a small area, dealing high damage. Reduced damage to Crown Towers.”
This card can be found from the Tutorial, Training Camp.
This card costs 4 Elixir.
The Fireball is basically an upgraded version of the Arrows.
The Fireball is a very potent spell. It can be cast anywhere on the arena, dealing tons of damage to the area.
The Fireball can be used to damage Crown Towers or Buildings.
The spell is extremely effective on troops which spawns in a cluster, such as the Minion Horde and Barbarians.
When timed and aimed properly, it can be used to weaken buildings and its spawns.
Can be used to steal a victory, by destroying a tower that has a little hitpoints remaining.
Other than destroying squishy units, it can be used to damage cards that has decent hitpoints such as the Barbarians.
Even though the Fireball deals more damage as compared to the Arrows, the AoE is much smaller and the cost of Elixir is 4, hence Players rather use the Arrows as the Arrows are strong enough to wipe out squishy troops.
Versatility. Able to be used for both attacking and defending.
Able to destroy squishy troops such as the Minion Horde, or it is able to deal significant amount of damage to cards such as the Barbarians, hence allowing the Tower to finish the job without receiving any damage.
Great for taking a cheap shot at opponent’s Crown Towers.
Can be used to finish off a weaken Crown Tower and secure a victory.
The Fireball, is able to separate troops, or to push them back from your tower when it lands, hence you can use the Fireball to knock troops away from your tower.
Not really effective against high hitpoints troops such as Giant.
Small AoE. Hence, it might not be able to clear huge swarms of troops effectively as compared to the Arrows.
New players might have difficulties timing and aiming where the Fireball spell will land.
||Crown Tower Damage
On 19/2/16, the damage dealt to Crown Tower is nerfed by 20%.
The Fireball’s description is a reference to a Clash of Clans commercial, Magic.
The Fireball and Arrows spell shares similar properties. The Fireball has a higher damage, but a smaller AoE (Area of Effect) compared to Arrows.
