Clash Royale – X-Bow

x-bow“Nice tower you got there. Would be a shame if this X-Bow whittled it down from this side of the arena…”

  • This card can be found from Arena 3, Barbarian Bowl.
  • This card costs 6 Elixir.
  • The card, along with the Mortar, has the longest deploy time, at 5 seconds.
  • The X-Bow, if left undamaged, will last up for 40 seconds.
  • Can be used for both attacking and defending.
  • The X-Bow can is able to attack opponent’s towers from your side of the base.
  • Has a very long range.
  • The X-Bow, along with the Mortar is the only card that can attack opponent’s tower from your base.

  • Works well with supporting units such as Minions. If used properly, it can be a very promising duo.
  • Works well with supporting buildings as well such as Cannon and Inferno Tower. This trio is able to frustrate opponent as the X-Bow will focus on dealing damage to the Tower while the Cannon and Inferno Tower take down troops trying to get to the X-Bow. If the X-Bow is not able to take down the tower, sneak in a Rocket or Lightning in your deck to finish the job for you.
  • Works well with Rage as it decreases its long deploy time to prevent opponent from defending against it and increasing its hit speed which is already very fast.
  • Works great against squishy units as it is able to outrange them.

  • Versatile. Able to be used for both attacking and defending.
  • The X-Bow complements well with a lot of cards.
  • Opponent will usually get very frustrated when you use the X-Bow. Using a X-Bow can catch your opponent offguard as not many people uses the X-Bow deck.
  • The low damage is compromised by its fast attack speed.
  • Opponent has no choice but to react to the X-Bow if not it is able to deal significant amount of damage to the Tower.

  • Extremely weak against Rocket. It is possible to be one shoted by the Rocket.
  • Not able to protect itself against air units as it can only target land units. Using the Minion Horde can destroy the X-Bow without getting much damage in return. It is also able to destroy the trio of Cannon, Inferno Tower and X-Bow. You will have an Elixir advantage after that as you only used 5 Elixir to destroy the trio which costs a total of 14 Elixir.
  • The Zap is able to change its target.
  • Opponent can easily overwhelm it with a swarm of troops such as the Barbarians. Even a Giant by itself will be able to take it down.
  • Opponent is able to react to it due its long spawn time. (5 Seconds)
  • All opponent has to do is to deploy sufficient amount of troops before the X-Bow is up to bait the X-Bow to attack them instead of the tower.
